Normal Anatomy

Vet students spend their first year learning what normal anatomy looks like. They do this in order to be able to tell you that this is not normal.

Can you guess what isn't normal? lol
FYI: if your dog swallows a fish hook (like this one) don't try and pull it out by the fishing line still attached to it. This simply 'sets' the hook in the tissue, much like it does when you yank the fishing pole after the fish bites the hook. We had to go in surgically and cut this one out because the owners had tried so hard to pull this hook out that it was lodged in the trachea really well. The good news is, the surgery went well and this little girl when home all sutured up.

That one is definitely big enough to be a keeper.
Glad to hear she was OK!

I guess these folks weren't good fishermen either. Glad this pup was ok.

I wonder if they were using a dog treat for bait? Eek!
